Dreamtronic synthesizer V pro 2

I purchased the software and after several emails to the company I still can’t use the full beta version (1,000 note). Has anybody else had this problem?

For me, it worked fine….. What version are you trying to install?

I had another customer with the same problem, and even I got in touch with Dreamtonic but did not get any answer from them so far.

My problem turned out to be operator error. I purchased the software and there was a 7 day trial and I assumed I would be trying out the full version and not the trial. When I redeemed the software (not sure why you do this) the full version was available.

Now that I can use the full version a new issue came up. When I change the vst from halion choir to synth V for some reason the vocal now goes through the fader…Humm. I have watched the Make Doric Sing a few times and will rewatch

sorry, drum fader

My guess would be the Halion you replaced had the drum set loaded. Reapply the playback template and make sure the Halion you are replacing is the voice (Choir ahh, I think it is). If Halion is using multiple slots, you will need to add Synth V and just reroute the vocal player to it instead of replacing Halion.

I should add that you don’t even need to route Synth V to an instrument. As long as it is loaded in the VST rack, it will play along. If you do route it to the vocal track and it has notes in it, Synth V will play an awful sine wave at the pitch frequency.

My method:

  1. get vocals notated with lyrics

  2. export MIDI and import into a standalone Synth V (do touch-ups with phonemes and dynamics)

  3. Save Synth V project

  4. Load Synth V into Dorico’s VST rack without routing it to an instrument and load the saved Synth V project

… it should play from playhead reliably.
