Drum audio track to midi conversion?

Hey guys is it possible to convert an audio track to a midi track?

I have some live drums I’m mixing, and the snare doesn’t sound all that great. I’d like to be able to convert the snare hits to midi notes so I can use a drum plugin I currently have. I’m not looking to spend any money on a drum replacement plugin. I want to know if this is possible within Cubase. I’ve never had to do it before, I’ve been looking around through Cubase and it doesn’t seem like there is a way to do this. Is it possible, and if so how? Thanks!

That video link is gone - is there another that fits the bill? Standard steps to convert drum tracks to midi are still working pretty poorly… still…

I don’t know an elegant way with Cubaase stock procedures. I worked with this one in the past and it worked quite well:

You have to pay for it however.
