Drum editor snap

Hi all
I can’t seem to get snap function in drum editor working when copying notes from one instrument to another.
For example copying a tambourine to a cabasa etc
Snap is on set to grid and quantize is on and in fact it does work when dragging notes.
The problem seems to be occurring only on copying.
The copied notes end up wherever i release mouse…with no correlation to grid quantize values.
If anybody has come across this and found a solution/workaround I would be very grateful.

I must be missing something:

When copying in project using alt, the part snaps as per snap parameters, however when copying shared using ( in my case ctrl as tool modifier) it does not.
What am I missing?
please enlighten me
