Drum Layout: How to get rid of the current rests?

Is it possible to hide the breaks above and below the staff in the areas with only slashes?
I think those breaks are very confusing when reading drum parts.

You can always select the rests and do Edit->Remove rests. I suspect there is a better solution, but hard to say without seeing the file. Is that a Slash Region?
