I want to work with a Drum track without using patterns, for that I selected the Midi Part but I am not able to assign any Drum Map so everytime I click on the event I get the normal editor instead of the Drum Editor. I think this is a miss, as it’s clear that when working with drums you don’t want to edit on the normal editor but use the drum editor
On the Menu Bar…. Midi > Open Drum Editor

For any MIDI track, if you assign a Drum Map in the Track Inspector, it will default to using the Drum Editor:
Click where it says “No Drum Map”, choose a drum map.

Indeed, for a Midi Track you can set the drum map and if set in Properties > Editor, on every double click on the event it opens the Drum Editor. But here I’m referring to the Drum Track added in Cubase 14, not a Midi Track.
