Open high hat. When i manually place open symbol, it plays back correctly. When i do popover Shift P and type open, it appears correctly, but does not play back
Loaded a basic drum set. I noticed that I must have inadvertently pressed something) that sometime when I go (using arrows) to snare, it’s not snare but side stick, and a notehead I don’t want. Cool switching, but how do i switch back to snare? ty
Yes that is the way it is if you want the open sound you have to do in manually. That is something that is on list of improvements I think. Or I also don’t understand it.
You problaby hit Alt that is also the way to get the original sound back. Alt with the arrow key up and down make you alter the sound and notation.
If they are different then there’s your answer. You’d need to open the Edit Playing Technique dialog and check what the popover text that is assigned to the “manual” one and use this text in the popover instead.
Like I said: go to the Edit Playing Technique dialog, select the Playing Technique and look at the Popover text field. Whatever is in there is what you need to enter into the Popover. These are customisable too - change them how you see fit.
Also, check that the Playback Techniques match (if you want the same playback for both symbols.)
I understand that I save this as default to use in other projects. How to I export these settings for a second Dorico installation. I guess the question is more broad. How do I export General Preferences. And how do I export Libraries? In one fell swoop, or one by one?
