Are there any simple step programming drum sequencers around these days?
you have “beat designer” as midi plugin in Cubase who gonna work with any drum VSTi like groove agent one ! you have some preset Inside cubase with beat designer & groove agent one together!

I grew up with the drum machines of old, and I think H5 is an excellent substitute. But then I love HALion period!
