Hi,
Is there any way to make the ride cymbal note a quarter note and the bass drum part kept as written? I’ve checked google gemini and here and could not find any answer. I am using VDL and a Score Sauce template, so not sure if that impacts anything, thanks.
Try to see if this is set under Library->Notation Options->Percussion.

If that doesn’t help, Setup mode->Click the 3 dots->Edit Percussion Kit
Check that the Kick drum has stem down, and the Ride stem up.
Another option is to select the kick drum notes->right-click->Percussion->Change Voice->Extra Down-stem voice. Or select the Cymbal and use Extra Up-stem voice.
