"Drum synth" in Halion?

Planning on bying Halion 7 with the current crossgrade offer.

I like the concept of the Maschine Drum Synths. I like that it’s sort of like a programmable synth for drums and not mainly sample based (programming is much more enjoyable to me than working with samples). Questions:

  1. Is there anything similar in Halion 7?
  2. It not: not do you think it would make sense to use Halion to create such an instrument? I’ve been pondering actually building one in C++/JUCE, based on, for example, Surge XT, but scripting in Halion seems much easier.

No. But you can use other synthesis types to create different percussion sounds.

This is one of the more obvious gaps in HALion.
