Drum track with drum plugin

Hi,
Is the drum track and pattern editor working with a drum plugin like a TR808 from Roland.
Is there only samples or may I use my plugin ?

You can use the pattern editor with 3rd party plugins. When adding an instrument track, (hit the +) under event type, change it to pattern event, then in the lower zone, click the editor tab. Although, the 808 plugin from Roland has a built in step sequencer.
