Using a drumkit i save this:
I get this:
I also tried to use it with a .doricolib, drumkit. Can you point me in some good direction to be able to import a midifile with percission instruments and make it look at its best?

I don’t know what exact things you’ve been doing — percussion stuff involves a lot of basic steps, but they all can change everything.
My experience is that if your percussion maps are ok, meaning everything is properly described, MIDI import works fine. Beware: there are options in MIDI import, it can be necessary to follow all the steps (yes, the ones you did not describe…)
I have to admit I don’t understand what I am seeing here.
What is the first picture and what is the second picture? And when you write “I get this”, what did you do before to get this?
I do not find this image surprising. IIRC the default setup for drum kits in Dorico is to have drums played by a downstem voice and cymbals played by an upstem voice.
I prefer to change the kit defaults to traps played by hand using upstem notes and traps played by foot using downstem, but I have to makje that adjustment manually in the kit editor.
Here is step by step what I have done.
I have just exported the Kit but have not installed it yet. Obviously I have a lot to learn.
Create new, Empty template
Create empty kit as KNL_perc (image)
Export kit as KNL_perc
Layout Options → Players → Percussion → 5-line Staff
Enter 3 notes (image)
Export midi
Import midifile (image)
New score: (image)
Please, any suggestions
