Dry signal nuisance

I’m trying to record through my UR22C. I’m using a neural DSP plugin. I’ve turned the mix knob all the way to DAW and although I can’t hear the dry spell final when playing, when I playback, I can hear it.
I’ve searched forums but nothing seems to work.
The direct monitoring checkbox in the ASIO setup is also greyed out.

How can I just get rid of the dry signal?

Is Constrain Delay Compensation activated by any chance? If so switch it off. Any changes?

Hi,
which guitar fx do you use? A couple of them have a dry/wet knob e.g. Guitar Rig from NI.

I’m using the Neural DSP plugin, specially the NollyX plugin.

I’m a total novice and didn’t eralise that I needed to open the plugin from WITHIN Cubase… I thought I could just open the stand alone plugin and record via that… Is there a way I can do it this way?

Yes.
You need to install the VST3 plugin of your guitar fx alongside the standalone version. VST3s are automatically installed into the correct folder - you just need to make sure that VST3 is checked during installation. Maybe it is already installed? Check under Studio/Plugin Manager/VST Plugins. See it there? If not - please run the Neural DSP installer again.
Now, if you are running Cubase you want to put your FX into an Insert slot within your audio track:
Project Window - you find Insert slots in the zone in the far left or in the Inspector (right click on an empty area and add inserts to your custumized view of the Inspector if there are no inserts, yet).
Mixer - you can also open the mixer (F3) and you will see your inserts right away.

Once you click on an empty slot of your inserts you can select your guitar plugin.
Sounds complicated at first but it is really easy once you get a grasp of the concept.
Have fun and happy Xmas days!
