Hi guys, what is the point of the dspfx mixer if you can only use the effects to monitor but you have to use the actual plugins to record the reverb into the recording. What is the point of monitoring anyways if it still records a dry signal.
Why can I control the reverb in the ur44 panel on a track but its not recordable.
I don’t know how you would go about recording the fx signal on your setup, but I can tell you the advantages of dspfx.
- DSPfx saves your computer CPU and can help keep the latency lower
- Recording a dry signal gives you full control and greater versatility for mixing later on
- Having effects on is often preferred by the performer as it will give an idea of the final result. Especially many singers find it way easier to sing with fx like reverb on their voice, kinda like singing in the bathroom
It is recordable if you set the insert location as below
Insertion location Description
Upper (OFF) Turns the effect off.
Middle (MON.FX) Applies an effect Strip to only the monitor
signal (sent to the device).
Lower (INS.FX) Applies an effect Strip to both the monitor
signal (sent to the device) and the recording signal (sent to the DAW
software).
