Has anyone had the problem of duplicate names in the Port system name column in the midi port setup?
It seems that my second x-touch controller - connected by USB like the first one – shows up with the identical name. Although I can rename it to x-touch2 in the midi port setup ‘show as’ column, Cubase still cannot discriminate between the two devices. Does anybody know of a workaround for this?

Are you on Mac or Windows? On Mac, there is an known issue (on the side of many 3rd party developers). If a virtual-MIDI port is used, this port is not recognized as the same, when you quit and relaunch Cubase, in case, you use the MIDI port as Remote Devices.
