Feature Request:
The ruler track basically just duplicates the existing playlist ruler.
You can change the measurement and move it around and stuff, ya but I’m thinking of a ‘dynamic mode’ for it. Where it displays measurements based on your selection/cycle.
Like so:
Since my event starts there at bar 29, the ruler starts counting there. So now a quick glance and I can see my event is 8 bars long. Maybe we could have settings to change what it counts too. How many MIDI notes are in the range, how many chord changes, how many instruments play at that given bar etc.
Also wondering about a dynamic crosshair tool.
When holding a modifier it would be active. Hovering around it would show you lengths of events and distances between things. The benefit is it would show all the conversions for quick reference. This is handy for things off the grid.
Also would be cool if we could select a range and save its length as custom. Then we can recall that anytime. Let’s say I saved a range of 5 bars. I hit my custom hotkey for: “paste as custom 1” = pastes the copied event and resizes it to 5 bars. And other things like: “stretch length of this sample to custom 1” that kind of thing.
