I have a quick question: How can I prevent Dorico from widening the note spacing where I’ve added the suffix “sempre” to my dynamics (see attached screenshot)? Is there a default setting that I can turn off, or do I need to try manipulating the note spacing by hand (or even put this measure on a less crowded system)?
I haven’t attempted any note spacing or layout changes yet. This is how Diroco wants to place things on the page.
It could be because your hairpin just before goes too far (i.e. to the second eighth note of the bar, after the ff sempre). Try to select its right handle in Write Mode, and to place it on the first beat.
