Dynamics question or request.

Hello,

I know repeats are not implemented but how will dorico do this in the future?
First time play dynamic: mf
Second time play dynamic: f
Normally I would notate it like this: mf - f

I can’t find that in the dynamics or did I miss something?

If you select the dynamics section (f) of the the right panel, at the bottom you have “Combined Dynamics Change” (or similar, I use the german version of Dorico). There you can choose things like mf-f by pressing the +/- buttons.

Create the combined dynamics in the right panel by pressing + and - at both sides. Then highlight the note under which the dynamics should appear. Then ALT-click the combined dynamics you created in the right panel (between the + and -).

Johan-v, I don’t think that this will be solved.
It’s not just the regular repetition.
Repetition with segno is, however, more complicated.

You’re right. One dynamic must be out of the forte-range, the other one out of the piano-range. This seems to be a limitation that should be solved by the Dorico team.
