I was wondering if I will be able to use my old Macmini after Steinberg finish the e-license?
My way of working is as follows: In my home I have Cubase 13 and a new Macmini where I edit and complete my projects. In the band’s rehearsal room in a basement of a factory without an internet connection, I have my old macmini as a recording device with Cubase 11 with an e-license and an external h-disk that I take home with me to edit the recorded material.
You can use your eLicenser as long as the USB stick is working, this will not be affected.
What you can’t do is add or change any license that required the eLicenser, because the server infrastructure at Steinberg, that is needed for that, will be gone then.
