Is there a reason why Steinberg / Yamaha can’t make the “next generation” of USB connected hardware ( Controllers etc) under the Steinberg brand capable of having the E licence transferred from the USB stick to the hardware. Just 1 piece of hardware per license. This could be done using the control centre software just like when the licence is transferred between 2 USB sticks.
Or a USB slot in the bottom like those 9V battery compartments, that could be closed with a screw or 2.
A mini version would be much appreciated
. It would be great if it also could add a fiew MB of mass-storage for other type of license like waves.
