I’ve had a few tracks sent back from a publishing company recently because of Phase Issues. After looking in to it I found it was the Hifi mic’s in East West Storm Drum 3, and also some sounds from East West RA.
The East West pianos also have a really serious phase problem.
When writing music for media, music is likely not to be used on TV if it has phase problems. East West pianos was dipping my whole mix towards -1 past 0. I got over the problem by narrowing the stereo field of the pianos and not using the hifi mic’s for Storm drum. I had a look of the East West forum and there was a few topics about it - but one response from East West was particularly snippy.
I really enjoy using the east west stuff, but I double check everything now.
What are peoples thoughts on this?
