I’ve landed in MIDI hell in Cubase… Everything in my MIDI file I ported from Dorico to Cubase has worked so far, except for my percussion maps, specifically my Crash Cymbal percussion map.
My Settings in Cubase:
I’ve tried reassigning ‘O-Note’ as C3 and C5 thinking maybe it’s a middle C assignment disagreement, but that didn’t work.
As a diagnostic, I chose ‘No Drum Map’ in the inspector and dragged the note from C4 to C3 and it works, but to me that’s not a great solution because now it’s not using the sound in the EW library.
This is crazy, but I went back and tried C3 again and now it’s working! Cubase can be very aggravating sometimes.
I decided to post this anyone, even though I solved it myself, in case someone else runs into this problem with EastWest.
