The closest you’ll get is the group edit mode on folders in Nuendo 5.5. I agree that it’s not as elegant compared to how PT does it and it would certainly be a welcome feature in Nuendo.
Pro Tools 8, 9, and 10 have “borrowed” many of Nuendo’s best features and I’m ready for Nuendo to “borrow” some stuff back! Grouping would be a great start.
There were hints that PT type track grouping would be included in the next version. However, hints are cute and straight up information is better. Unfortunately communication is anathema to steinberg so who the hell knows…
I thought that lane-editing takes would follow across tracks when grouped? Is this not the case? I believe it’s how it works in the current Cubase at least…
