Edit History: making it last

I’m using Cubase 7.5.4, so please forgive me if what I am requesting already exists in Cubase 8.

Edit History is a really useful feature, but it would be even more useful if it could be (optionally) saved along with the file/project. After all, we sometimes have to leave our Cubase work before we’ve had the chance to make final decisions, and being able to reverse actions the following day, should one wish, would be very handy!

Perhaps try the Offline Process History dialog.

However, a quick look at the Operation Manual tells me that Offline Process History deals with audio clips, and I’m interested in saving all edit history, including midi.
