I’ve been using the mixer a bit more these days trying to create a nice Flute & Guitar template. What I find annoying is that I have to switch to play mode to access the “Edit Instrument” button. It would be nice if that access were available on the instrument’s mixer strip, e.g.,
… so we basically have access available from everywhere.
I like the idea as I am using the mixer more frequently as well. However, I’m not sure it would be a high priority item for the development team. I don’t use Cubase but it is my understanding that the Player in Dorico is based off of Cubase. I wonder if that’s an option in Cubase. If so, it might be possible to port that from Cubase.
Logic and Studio One have easy access from the mixer so I can’t imagine Cubase not having something easily accessible as well. It’s sort where it belongs, in my opinion.
