Edit vsti in mixer page: hold E doesn't work

Hello,
I try to open a vsti from the mixer page when I’m over the E it’s written (Hold to edit vst instrument) but nothing happen wither in 64 or 32 bit in W7.?

Are you holding down the E button on a midi track, or an instrument track?

Works well at my system. Need to press 1 till 2 seconds.

you’re right it’s only ok with" instrument track"
I don’t remenber when steinberg introduce this kind of track , but when it comes I found some limitations ( I don’t remember witch one) and since I never re-use it.

So finally the “hold E” are not like in the past in the old mixer: the piano icon. who worked with vsti in midi track.
I will try to assign a key command
