Editing a Conductor Score independent from the MASTER

Hey guys,

I’m writing a piece and I want to have a conductor part that doesn’t share the same redundant info between staves.

For example, every part needs text above it saying “System text info blah”.
But I don’t want that showing up on the conductor score for every single stave stacked on top of each other like. Violin I “System text info blah”. , Violin II “System text info blah”. Viola “System text info blah”. etc.

Even if I’m creating a custom score and I delete stuff from that “part” it’s going away on all parts.

The goal:
Write everything in galley view in a master conducting file
Make a conductor part with custom editing that doesn’t just auto delete everything from the different parts.

Any quick tips to get to where i need?

You can set your properties to “Local” and hide those text objects in the conductor’s part. It will hide them only in that layout.

@dan_kreider Awesome simple solution. Now, is there a fast way I can just select a ton of text and hit a hide keycommand instead of click the tab in the lower zone?

Yes. Select one, then use the function Select More. On Mac, it’s Cmd-Shift-A, pressed a few times.
