Hello! I have a Snareline part where I’m trying to edit the drum kit so that the backsticking technique is above the line. The snarline part has a single staff line. I’ve went into the drum kit, selected the snarline, selected backstick in the “Percussion Instrument Playing Techniques,” selected above where it says, “Staff position: Below/Line/Above,” click OK in the “Percussion Instrument Playing Techniques,” then hit close in the “Edit Percussion Kit” window, and the backstick technique doesn’t go above the staff line. What am I missing? Any help would be great please and thanks!
Have you watched the Discover Dorico session on Percussion? It covers pretty much everything.

Yes I have. Despite me following what they do, it doesn’t work on my end. It’s driving me bonkers ha. I’m trying something else right now. I’m hoping it’ll work. I bought this drumline template from somebody. I thought I made changes to it how I wanted it to look, but I guess I didn’t. Hopefully what I’m going to try works. If it does, I’m just going to delete my post.
I figured it out! Had to move some stuff around in the percussion kit editor. I think I’m good to go!
