Is there a way of making a snare drum roll start quietly and gradually get louder?
I am using Superior Drummer and Artist 6.
Someone told me to use the velocity control in the Midi editor but I can’t work out how to do this if it’s the correct advice.

Will sound more real when done in the controller lane of the key editor, which is what you were told…
Meant controller. 
Enter the midifile in which you have programmed your drums and look down at the velocity values. Make them gradually taller during a snare roll, or make the first one the loudest in a Tom break, experiment and have fun
