Why does the “Edits” folder not show up in the Pool?
Also, what exactly does this symbol mean? I think it has something to do with the audio file being edited.

Why would you need to see the Edits folder?
This symbol means, any offline process has been used.
It means it is referencing an edited file and in some cases, the original file as well.
If you select only part of the audio clip and use some offline processing, only that selected portion will be written to the edits folder. The remainder of the clip still references the file in the audio folder.
Can definitely get confusing.
