Efficient Way to Adjust Staff Size for One Player in a Custom Layout

Hi, I’m working on a piece for soprano, flute, and piano and have created a custom layout that includes only the soprano and piano. For this layout, I’d like to make the soprano staff appear smaller (e.g., cue-sized) while keeping the piano staff at its normal size.

My goal is for this adjustment to apply only to this custom soprano-piano layout, leaving the full score and other layouts unaffected. I’m looking for the best practice to achieve this in Dorico.

-Should I use a duplicate player with a reduced staff size?
-Is there a way to apply independent scaling within a layout directly?

I want to ensure I follow an efficient and scalable approach that won’t complicate the overall project management.

Thank you in advance!

Right-click on the staff and select Staff Size from the menu.
