Eighth note missing

Hi,

I can’t figure why an eight note is missing in bar 30 and how to correct this . I have probably insert some entries without noticing it but now how can I get it fixed?

Martin C.

To repair:

  • turn Insert Mode on
  • click in offending bar
  • Shift-B, “+1e”
  • turn Insert Mode OFF
  • repair note positions if necessary

Make sure to understand the different Insert Modes when doing dangerous edits like this.

@meixner , Thanks for posting that tutorial. I would like to see some actual examples of what someone was trying to do and why he/she selected one of the insert modes to do it. I do not immediately see the usefulness–but perhaps I will after more thought.

Thanks for the reply and for the tutorial as well. What I finally did is deleting the mesure that was faulty and then insert a new bar and then rewrite the entries.

In this particular case, it was easy to do but in a full score orchestral piece it would have been more complicated to do it that way.

Thanks for your help.

Here I made four little demonstrations for the different Insert Modes:

@meixner Mike, You are great! Thank you!

I use Dorico hours every day, but I tend to use the same functions all the time. It’s exciting to get new arrows in my quiver (or fewer errors in my quavers).
