I work in Post Production, I do a lot of time scrunching of voice-over reads. Cubase in Rossetta has always be amazing at this, you can easily reduce the length of the voice read by 10% without hearing any artefacts whatsoever. Using the MPEX - Solo Musical time stretch tool algorithm in the preference settings.
However. This algorithm is gone in Mac Silicone Native mode. And the Elastique Pro - Time default warping algorithm which is “supposed” to do the same thing., quite simply is un-usable, sounds glitchy and robotic.
Anyone else noticed this? I missing something?
Surely Cubase and Nuendo can’t have overlooked this very useful feature.?
I did contact support but they were about as helpful as a chocolate tea pot.
