I am a fan of the Yamaha family. Play the YEV5 five string electric violin and use Cubase (7.5 Artist) with a Steinberg ur44. (Also use Boss ME50 multieffect pedal and Boss rc300 loop station, but not with cubase). In my band, we use a newer Cubase version with professional mixing equipment. Sadly, whatever I try, the electric violin does not sound natural in Cubase. I get good response to my playing on the Boss stuff (and on Ipad using ampkit link), so my playing cannot be the reason.
Tried all effects and equalisers, but still sound like I am playing next door on a Stagg 200 dollar instrument.
Who could tell me what to do?
