Elements 9.5 closes down. HELP Please

Last week I downloaded Elements 10.5 trial to see if I felt it was worth the upgrade. Long story short, 10.5 would not get past scanning VST3 and after trying a few times i decided to uninstall it and carry on with 9.5.

Since then 9.5 is behaving strangely, and I wonder if anyone can shed some light on what is happening.

For Example…I I am working on a song, and I close it down by clicking on the x top right. Ive always done this and Cubase remains open so I can load the next song. What is happening now is that Cubase closes down completely if a close a song.

This never happened before trying 10.5. Also… some tracks now seem to cause 9.5 to crash before even opening

Has anyone had any of these issues and could you please tell me why this is happening now and what I can to about it

Make sure, your plug-ins are up to date, please.

Could you try in Cubase Safe Start Mode [Disable preferences], please?

Thanks for your reply.
As far as I know the only plug in that has been causing issues is Groove agent (which started this whole chain of events). Have you eve had issues with this plug in?

The other thing that has come to mind is that usually I work my music off and external hard drive. Question is this: if the hard drive is coming to an end of its working life…would that start causing erratic behavior in Cubase?
