I’m coming to the end of my 30 day trial with Elements 9, and although it’s been running smoothly on my MacBook Air, I thought I’d check CPU usage before I decide whether or not to purchase. Elements 9 when not playing anything back, totally idle, is listed as 40%+ CPU by Activity Monitor on Sierra 10.12.6.
If I start playback with three audio tracks, and two instances of Halion SE, and just 16 bars of music, my CPU performance is showing as being greater than 100%, around 130% typically. I’m not getting any glitches, or audio dropouts, playback is fine, but surely this level of CPU usage is not right?
