Elements as a VST host

I want to use Elements as a pure VST host in my HiFi setup (Roon → Elements → DAC) with the help of VAC (Virtual Audio Cable). But I am a complete n00b when it comes to DAW etc, so I was wondering if someone could help me setup Elements for this purpose?

I have it working with the free “VST host” software, but would like to test a professional solution as well.

Yes, how to setup Elements as a VST host, which takes its input from one audio endpoint and sends to another audio endpoint (32 bit preferably)

  1. Add an Instrument track, choose an Instrument and set the output.

  2. Add an Audio track, enable Monitor, and set the output.

Cheers, but I am unable to set input/output. I use Virtual Audio Cables (VAC) but I don’t want to use the defaults set in Window since those are used for when I want to send computer sound to the DAC.

I would like to select another input/output (WASAPI), specify bits and sample rate and use those.

Choose the correct ASIO driver in the Studio > Studio Setup > VST Audio System.
