I have a problem with the Cubase profile in StreamDeck. It suddenly stopped working. So I deleted everything and carefully installed it step by step. Everything is set up correctly. I feel like I’m a real idiot. But the Cubase profile still doesn’t work! My StreamDeck is suddenly an expensive piece of junk. Please advise me what to do about it. Thank you
I’m relatively new to Cubase, so I apologize in advance if I write something incorrectly. I added StreamDeck via Midi Remote. In the remote manager, everything is set up correctly according to the instructions. I have the latest update for everything. Both Cubase and Elgato StreamDeck. Still, nothing works. StreamDeck commands don’t respond. I even routed each command again and correctly in the Elgato application. It still doesn’t work. Do you know if Cubase has canceled StreamDeck support?
There is no builtin support from Cubase for StreamDeck, the support is via the profile in your StreamDeck.
What profile are you using, do you build it yourself? I would recommend to get the profile from the Elgato Marketplace, that is what I’m using and it works perfectly fine.
I guess you have the hardware StreamDeck, I guess that is connected via USB (I use StreamDeck Mobile on Android). Did you try to connect it on a different USB port and make sure it is connected before you launch Cubase?
Sorry, this is really strange, so I’m just guessing here.
EDIT: What is the Stream Deck Windows App showing when you launch that. Even with Cubase not active I see this in the Windows and the Android App.
I changed the usb, I changed the input on the macbook, I changed the usb hub and I also went direct. The signal goes to Cubase but nothing responds to me. I have everything routed correctly, I really don’t understand it
Ok, I do not use any Apple device, I have no idea what might be a helpful test there.
From what I read in several posts regarding permissions in MacOS, there are possible issues with permissions that might needed to be enabled. But that is something a Mac user needs to check.
In the Studio > Studio Setup > MIDI Ports Setup, find the Elgato virtual MIDI Port. Enable the MIDI Monitor of it in the given column. Can you see incoming MIDI data from Elgato, if you press any button?
