elicence says that I have a valid C9 but it no longer opens.

Everything was running fine. I bought C6.5Pro, upgraded to 8 then 9 but after going to 9.5, a countdown timer started from 12 hours. Now I can’t open Cubase. If I open up the eLicense Control Centre (latest version), it shows as having a valid full C9 licence. I’ve also tried to enter my C9 activation code that came in the email but I get a message saying that there’s no valid licences for that code.

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled both Cubase and the eLicense Control Centre (As an administrator)but it hasn’t helped.

I’ve emailed and called Steinberg and Yamaha (their support people in Australia) but I’ve heard nothing back in almost a week.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Try to run eLCC as Administrator, and click to Maintenance. Does it help?

Isn’t your USB-eLicenser corrupted?

What does your MySteinberg account says about your licenses?

I am not sure exactly what you are doing but you cant run 9.5 on a 9 licence. 9.5 is a paid upgrade. If that is not it, sorry

Thanks vinark. I feel like a bit of a muppet now…lol. I’m used to assuming that the next whole number is the paid upgrade. It sucks though…I only paid for 9 in July… ce la vie.

Thanks for clearing that up.
