eLicenser ending creates issue with JBridged plugs

I am getting these errors stating that there is no valid authorization or eLicenser available for so many older sessions. Whatever the auth scheme for the new protection system is shutting of my eLicenser and generating an error. So far, I have narrowed it down to a few individual plug-ins. The major deal breaker for me is the OLD 32-bit multiband compressor that I have JBridged. I literally used this on nearly EVERY session for 20 years. Steinberg never updated it when Spectral shut down. Nothing else even compares to the sound and versatility of this plug-in. I really hope that I don’t lose access to this plug-in.

If you still have plugins that require the eLicenser you can keep using them, until the USB dongle breaks. The server shutdown means you can not add or modify licenses on your eLicenser, but it does not mean your eLicenser stops working.
However, you should really try to find alternatives to your old plugins, because hardware can definitely fail and you should be prepared for that.

Those Spectral plug-ins where way ahead of their time, indeed. 8-/ Their surround-maximizer (“Octo-Max”?) was second to none.

JuergenP, I am having this weird issue where something in the new copy protection scheme is not recognizing my dongle eLicencers. If I unplug and reseat the USB dongles the plug-ins will work again. This has only started happening recently. I had a similar issue with Groove Agent 5 that was part of Absolute 4 on my eLicenswer. I had to revert back to a slightly earlier revision of Groove Agent 5. There is obviously something in the new copy protection scheme that is rendering my eLicensers offline. The error message says something to the effect of, “if you want to use eLicenser products please restart your computer.”

Deitz, The Spectral plug-ins were indeed fantastic. This multiband compressor was originally part of Steinberg’s “Mastering Edition” but then was included in Nuendo 2.0 and then later versions off Cubase in an additional plug-ins folder. It is completely unfortunate that this exquisite code may be lost forever.
