whenever I have downloaded and installed a Steinberg trial version software and want to activate it with delivered activation code, elicenser says: Communication error with license server, pls update elicenser.
Have updated, same problem
Any idia what can be done ?

Try disabling any antivirus and/or firewalls that are active. a lot of times this can cause communication trouble.

Wow, a seemingly valid reason & confirmation why I never have internet on my music machines, nor have I had any virus protection software on them in years…Windows Firewall, all networking capabilities, automatic updates, all disabled. I’m always on a quest looking for things that can be eliminated/disabled.
