After a fresh install of Windows 7 64 bit I would like to install Cubase 6, no luck unfortunately, as Windows doesn’t seem to be able to find a driver for “ProtectExecuter”.
I tried all the suggestions from the website, like reinstalling the newest eLicenser Software, deleting all eLicenser files manually and then reinstalling, trying a different USB port, etc .
Something that I noticed, should the following files be on my hard disc after an eLicenser installation?
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\SynUSB64.sys
C:\WINDOWS\inf\SynUSB64.inf
as one of the Steinberg pages mentions them … because I don’t have them. Or where are the drivers supposed to live, perhaps I can give Windows the path manually.
Any ideas, I have none left ?
