I am a Finale refugee. I uploaded an orchestral score from Finale to Dorico, following all the instructions from YouTube videos. Starting at measure 30 (this is a 20 minute piece), Dorico started putting 32nd and 64th rests into the beginning or ends of measures with music. Empty measures do not show this. This gives 4/4 measures 4/4+1/32 or 4/4+1/64 time. This massively screws with the notation. I have tried to delete these rests, but Dorico does not re-set the notation. I have tried the Delete Rests in Edit and that only hides them it does not remove them from the measure, it just hides them. How do I eliminate them completely? Do I need to delete the entire piece and reload it? Was there something I did wrong going from Finale to Dorico? This is an example.
