Hello! I have Cubase 12 Pro, and WaveLab 11 Elements. What I’d like to be able to do, is to add lyrics, using timecode, to sync them in my wav. file. Is there a way to do that that would be formatted so that services like MusicMatch or YouTube, Spotify, etc. would get the lyrics ready-to-sing to? I’m thinking is there a way to use the Edit Metadata in WaveLab, or is there a way to do it in Cubase Pro, before exporting the mix into WaveLab? Sorry if this isn’t pithy, or clear, but it seems like something that should be able to be done, especially in the full-blown $$$ Cubase Pro 12 that I have! Thanks for reading, have a great day/evening!

WAV doesn’t support the lyrics tag.
You need to use a different file format. MP3 for example, OGG, or FLAC.

Where would you fill out the lyrics tag?

I will try exporting my track as FLAC, open it in WaveLab and see if I can enter lyrics with the corresponding time. If I can’t find it, I’ll probably be back in this thread to get more ideas. Thanks so much!
