I have looked all over the settings, menus, and user manual.
Is there currently no way to have the embedded timecode of the audio file shown? Also to retain that timecode for transcriptions?

Indeed transcriptions do not use that timecode yet. Timecode support will likely be improved in SL12.

Thanks but that’s not what I meant.
I am looking for the ability to change the timebar to show the embedded timecode. Currently all options start at 00:00:00
When I am working on long audio segment I have a list of timecodes to jump to. But those do not work when the embedded timecode isn’t shown (as the offset from 00:00:00).
In iZotope RX for example I can set the timebar to show source time.
I see. Timecode support is pretty new in SL (it was added after the release of 11), so expect improvements in the next major version, including for functionalities like this.
