After entering 9 on beat, I can’t select note values, either with the panel or numeric keys.
I have tried rebooting Dorico, and opening a different project. What the heck is going on? Unfortunately, I have a lot of work to do today and I am stuck.
You need to be in note entry mode (caret showing). Otherwise the panel just reflects what you have selected (ie a crotchet rest).

Thank you. You are correct, of course, but I believe my bluetooth keypad was messed up and preventing me from getting into the right mode.
