Empty staff showing only on one system

I have one system with an empty staff that is not hiding (m 91-97). It’ probably something basic I am missing. I read the other threads about this. There is no explicit clef on this system. It was an xml import, so maybe there’s something attached to a measure I cannot see. Can anyone figure this out?

I have no explanation for this behavior, maybe there’s something related to the XML import, as far as I can see the settings are correct.

But you can hide the staff in this particular system by

  1. Change the system break in bar 101 to a frame break to preserve the page layout.
  2. Select the system break in bar 91 and make a manual staff visibility change (right-click > Staff > Manual Staff Visibility…) to hide VOICE.
  3. Select the system break in bar 98 and make a manual staff visibility change to reset VOICE.

I don’t know what is there as I could not see anything, but if you select the whole rests in bars 95 and 96 (use click on the first rest and shift-click on the second) then press Delete (or use Cut) the staff will hide. Before deleting, both rests must be selected - deleting them one at a time does not work.

EDIT (a few minutes later):
When I zoomed in, I noticed a staff-attached text item above the start of bar 96. Selecting that and deleting it “did the trick”.
