emu 1212m is this a good card?

Hi all

Following on from my thread about my ASIO latency problems with my ASUS sound card (in the Cubase 6 section), I’m looking to buy something that works :slight_smile:

My budget for the next few months is very very very tight.

Will be using it in Cubase 6.

For the price (£120), reviews etc I’ve come across, the Emu 1212m looks like a very good card. Anyone had any experiences good or bad?

I’m looking for a PCI Express card as that’s all I have free on my motherboard.

I don’t want to buy it and find my latency still in the +10 :slight_smile:

With my current Asus card, I cant set ASIO buffer less than 416 without Audio hanging.

Having found out this is part of Creative Labs, and having gone to the forums and seen nothing about complaints about their lack of drivers, I’ve changed my mind in even considering this card.

That sounds good. I was under the impression the EMU 1212 is a fine audio interface, but if it doesn’t work then you will indeed feel the pain of Creative.
