Yes, I get that by default. It will be some combination of Notation Options / Note Grouping although I honestly can’t remember what settings get to that result. I’ll post a couple of screenshots of my settings.
That is how I wrote the first example, using forced duration But I was looking for the configuration…, not having to do that every time a rhythm like that appears in a score.

I was referring to the general approach of thinking globally first and working in from there. This applies throughout the app, such as with formatting in Engrave mode.
In this particular case, the note grouping options cover a wide range of scenarios, some are independent of each other and others can overlap. I don’t think you could set all, or perhaps even just the relevant ones for a project from a single bit of rhythm. I think if the user got to the point of understanding all the examples they needed to define, they’d probably have reached an understanding of the options so that the examples wouldn’t be necessary. Perhaps I’ve misunderstood your suggestion.
