Working on a harp part and I’d like to change the enharmonic spelling for a few bars (otherwise it would require silly pedal changes and would not sound as bright if in sharps as opposed to flats). Is there a way to do this on a selected region as opposed to one note at a time (very time consuming when respelling glissandi)!
Select the measures and apply a transposition of an augmented or diminished unison.
Or select the notes, hold down the ALT/OPT key, and use the plus or minus keys to move the note name(s) up or down to the enharmonic equivalent.
Once you have selected the measures, in the popover Shift+I, you can type e.g. « d#=eb » (not at my computer to check if you can make it for several notes in one shot.)
Thank you!
That seems like a lot of extra work, but I’m glad you found a solution that suits.
Thanks Derrek, it works for harp in particular but your way will be great for other instrument, so thank you for the ‘how to’.
