Enharmonic tied notes

How do I handle enharmonic notes crossing key changes? For example, coming out of a sharp key I have an F# tied across a key change of Gb and wish the note to be Gb instead of F#. I know I can fake it with a slur instead but hope to not have to do that. I’ve looked in the manual and on here as well as googling but can’t seem to find my answer.

Switch to Engrave mode in order to be able to select a single notehead in the tie chain. Select the notehead and then type Alt— or Alt-= to respell it.

You’re out of luck if you’re not running Dorico Pro, I’m afraid.

Thanks. I’m running Pro and have tried turning to Gb but it still moved the F# to Gb as well. I’ll try it again.

You definitely need to be in Engrave mode, and you definitely need to ensure it’s just the relevant notehead that’s selected.

(and it definitely can be done)

Yes they worked. I’m not sure why it wouldn’t work earlier. Thanks!

Maybe I needed to just take a break from it and come back later. :+1:t4:
